Well your body is a machine and just like any other machine the better you take care of it the better it will perform. 2) Chicken and Turkey: Two excellent sources of protein. You can get some lean and chicken or turkey from your local grocery store for fairly cheap and cook it up real quick with some olive oil and spices to make a quick post-workout meal.

3) Egg whites: Another good and cheap source of protein. Simply boil up some eggs, peel, and enjoy.

4) Dairy products: Low-fat milk, cottage cheese, yogurt and other dairy products are another good source of cheap and easy protein.

5) Lean red meats: Lean red meats happen to be one of the best muscle building foods due to their combination of hi-protein and essential vitamins and minerals. So go ahead and enjoy a hamburger every once in a while.

6) Beans: Beans are a great source of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and protein making it the ultimate muscle building food. Plus they are really cheap and easy to cook.

7) Whole Foods: Whole foods such as brown rice, whole wheat pasta and whole grain bread are a great source of fiber and other essential nutrients. They are also a good source of complex carbohydrates which are used to fuel your workouts.

8) Nuts: Nuts are a good source of protein, fiber, vitamins, and unsaturated fats (the good kind). They can easily be added to any meal or just eaten plain as a snack.

9) Olive oil: Another great source of unsaturated fats which helps prevent heart disease and cancer as well as boot your metabolism. Just add a little bit of olive oil to any meal and enjoy!

10) Water: While not exactly a food, water is just as important as any meal to your muscle build needs. Water helps with muscle recovery, to fuel your workouts, and improve muscle tone. So be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your body looking and feeling great.
